A course that supports early childhood centres and kaiako to authentically integrate seasonal gardening into their curriculum. Featuring 6 modules, each with a lesson video and downloadable resources of gardening information and learning experiences linked to Te Whariki. Module topics: • Tips before we begin • 1. Caring for Papatūānuku • 2. Compost • 3. Seeds & Seed Raising • 4. Raising & Planting Seedlings • 5. Worms & Worm Farming • 6. Raising Produce, Harvesting & Saving Seed • Additional Activities (Filling the Gaps) The course is designed for early childhood settings who are just starting out on their gardening journey, or those who need extra support to know how to keep their garden thriving all year. Each participant will also gain access to the private community group where you can ask questions, interact with others and receive ongoing updates from Growing Kiwi Gardeners.
